Looking at recent largest deals, Pokemon Go maker Niantic sold its gaming business for $3.5B at a 3.5x sales multiple to Scopely in March to diversify its video game portfolio.
In February, US-based casino platform Grover Gaming sold its charitable gaming assets for $850M at a 6.3 sales multiple to Light & Wonder to strengthen its position in regulated gaming markets and enter the growing charitable gaming space.
Also in January, Danish VinderCasino brand studio MocinoPlay was bought by online gambling operator Stake to establish its presence in Denmark and expand its footprint in Northern Europe.
Meanwhile in China, game development firm Mine Loader Software was purchased by gaming solutions provider Winking Studios for nearly $20M in January to elevate its service offerings in the global video games industry.
In January, creative games studio Abstraction Games was snapped by global video game development company Virtuos Holdings to expand its presence in Europe and enhance its collaborative development capabilities.
