In 2026, disclosed M&A transactions in the Gaming sector achieved a median deal value of $41M, with transactions sizes ranging up to $6B, reflecting the continued presence of both mid-market acquisitions and occasional large-scale acquisitions. As it concerns valuations, Casual Video Games Sector saw the highest disclosed revenue multiples followed by Massively Multiplayer Online Games and Mobile Games. 

Interestingly, only 22% of sellers operated under a SaaS business model, and just 12% were focused on deep tech areas like AI, leaving ample room for growth on these fronts as buyers prefer subscription-like revenue streams and are keen to deploy AI to accelerate game development and bolster monetization efforts.
